5th Anniversary of the Big Tsunami

Yesterday was the 5th Anniversary of the Big Tsunami.A lot of people died in the Tsunami.I think that was the time when a little girl saved a lot of people by telling them to go up to the mountain to avoid the waves. That very year,I even went to Penang!A few days after I came back to Singapore, the Tsunami started...anyway the hotel was quite far away from Penang Beach(although we did went there).

Goodbye 4 Violet!

It has been 2 long years. I have to say I really enjoyed teaching the class tremendously. Thanks for all the fun, laughing, irritating, 'complaining about your classmates' and 'correcting my mistakes' moments. Though it can be annoying at times but they were all wonderful memories for me. Although some of you will be in different classes, let's keep the 4 Violet spirit alive! Remember to post anything interesting from time to time. If you want admin access for posting, just send me a note with your email account.
Finally, all the best to all of you! You will never be forgotten!

PUZZLE: How Many Mice?

A specific mouse breed can give birth to 12 mice. It can only give birth to the mice after it is 2 months old. If you bought 1 of the mouse from the pet shop, how many mice will there be?

Answer for previous puzzle revealed. The answer is 2nd January. This is because...

PUZZLE: When Is Her Birthday?

A girl said that she was turning 21 in 2 days time and that she was 20 now. But she was only 19 before this year's new year. When is her birthday? ( Day and Month only)

Now the answer for the candles puzzle. Sorry, Surendra... your answer is wrong... The answer is 3. This is because there is the word IN THE END which means if the 7 candles were allowed to continue burning. So in the end, there will only be 3 candles left as the 7 candles have turn into wax and the 3 which was blew out didn't melt into wax.

PUZZLE: How Many Candles Left?

A man lighted ten candles in his dining room. He realised that the wind from the window blew out the flame from two candles. He closed the windows and went to his room. When he came back to the dining room, he noticed that the flame from another candle was blew out. How many candles did he have IN THE END?

Answer for previous puzzle: 44! Congratz SharkBoy's sister. This is because the father said that he is his sons age(22) plus half his age. That means the other half is 22. So 22 plus 22 = 44!

PUZZLE 1: HOW OLD IS DAD?

Continued:Passenger assigned to unusable seat given another one before departure: Tiger Airways

Continued:How can? Seat with no cushion assigned to me on Tiger Airways plane
STOMP Report:
Posted on 23 Sep 2009

Tiger Airways says the passenger who was assigned an unusable seat had been given another one before its flight departed.

This came in after a STOMPer wrote in to STOMP, saying that she and her elderly parents were assigned to a seat with no cushions to sit on during a Tiger Airways flight.

A Tiger Airways Singapore spokesperson said:

"The affected passenger was allocated a seat that was rendered unusable immediately prior to her flight.

"The cabin crew member who attended to her secured another seat before the flight departed.

"As the flight was full, the passenger could not be seated together with her two relatives.

"We have contacted the passenger to offer our apology for the inconvenience caused."

Would you buy this kitchen electric mixer for $926,988? STOMPer Marilyn says she would choose a freehold studio apartment over the appliance anytime, and most people would probably agree.

Here's what the bemused STOMPer wrote in an email today (Sep 2):

"Robinsons really want attention for their kitchenware products, and they have really got mine!

"I stood there thinking who would pay for a Kenwood Premier Line Chef Mixer at $926,988 over a freehold studio apartment? They should have secured this appliance more carefully if it really cost that much!"

How can? Seat with no cushion assigned to me on Tiger Airways plane

STOMP Report:

A STOMPer was shocked by the rude treatment her family received during a Tiger Airways flight. The clincher: the seats they got did not even have cushions to sit on.

Here's what the angry STOMPer wrote in an email today (Sep 15):

"I just got off a Tiger Airways flight with my elderly parents.

"Imagine the seats they assigned to us. The seats had no base cushions.

"The cabin crew were also very rude and did not bother to assist us.

"A complaint to Tiger Airways has yielded no reply or explanations. They don't seem to even have a contact number for their corporate office.

"Real budget in every sense."

Daughter left with bruises and wounds after birthday celebration at Safra's Kidz Amaze

STOMP Report:

STOMPer Sze Li said her husband and her daughter left Kidz Amaze at Safra Jurong with bruises and wounds after celebrating the girl's birthday there.

The STOMPer is concerned with the lack of safety precautions at some of the facilities there.

She said:

"First I would like to comment on the slide, which is the tallest slide in Asia. I got a rude shock when I reached the ground level. The cushion was being pushed away from the slide and I landed on the floor, with my back against the slide and I almost couldn't get up from the impact it had on my back.

"I ended up with a big bruise. Imagine if it was a child who had slid down and hit the floor and the slide. The person in charge there didn't even bother to apologise and check whether I was ok.

"Why wasn't the cushion secured properly? After that, there was an announcement to warn the children not to throw the balls down the slide as it could push the cushion and cause it to detach from the slide. I thought that was the most absurd announcement.

"Next, I would like to comment on the flight of stairs leading to the upper floor. I was holding on to my girl's hand while climbing up the stairs but she slipped and bled on her shin because the edges of the metal steps were rough!

"There was also a plastic 'curtain' on this flight of stairs and a child was leaning on it, thinking that it was a solid barrier. She might have fallen off the steps.

"Why aren't the flight of stairs made safe for children?

"Then there are some areas where there are notices saying that the areas are not for bigger sized people.

"We are not big sized, so we tried and we could easily slide down the slides of these areas with the warnings.

"Then we got stuck and we had to climb up through the small space. Luckily we could do that since my husband and I are not too big. But what if it were an uneducated parent accompanying the child who can't understand the sign?

This playground is full of danger. I wouldn't go there again. We came out shortly after less than an hour. I wasn't thinking of going back there every again."

GHOST

Female 'ghost' caught on camera in Bedok flat

STOMPer SureOrNot found this video on the Internet, apparently showing a female ghost captured on camera in a rented flat in Bedok.

Said the STOMPer:

"I found this video on the Internet.

"Apparently a Filipino man was taking a video of his rented house in Bedok and accidentally saw a 'girl' in one corner of the flat.

"She disappeared almost immediately.

"At first I thought it could be fake, but after studying the video carefully, I'm not so sure.

"The corner in which the girl was seen was enclosed. The only exit, which is towards the camera man, was blocked by some things.

"It would have been impossible for a person to simply disappear from that corner of the house in a split second.

"But you decide and figure it out for yourself."

China woman makes her son pee into bin outside bookstore at Jurong Point

STOMPer Juston was shocked when he spotted this China woman making her son pee into a rubbish bin at Jurong Point.

In an email to STOMP today (Sept 21), the STOMPer says:

“I saw this at Jurong Point Shopping Centre on Saturday at around 2 pm just outside of POPULAR book store.

“This woman was letting her child urinate in the rubbish bin. People were standing around and looking at her but she didn’t feel a thing.

"For sure that she was a Chinese from China due to her speaking slang.

“I just moved forward to take this nice clear shot.”

Creative...or is it too much for it?

Hi guys,I found this thingy from zb comma newspaper.

Singapore MRT Pledge
We,the passengers of MRT,
Poise to be one united kiasu(scared of losing[if you're Singaporean, you should know what does that mean]),
Regardless of pregnant women, elderly and little children,
To chiong(rush) in when the doors open,
So as to achieve seats, sleep and rest.

Do you think it is too much?I don't think so.Just don't take it so seriously.

Bad things about some Singaporeans in MRTs:
.Stand in front of the doors.
.Eating/Drinking[normally secretly] in MRT,once I even saw an Raffles Girl Student eating a sandwich secretly!
.Rush in when the doors open...unless you really need a seat, don't be so selfish! The MRT will go the same time whether you go in sooner or later!
.Pushing him/herself into the MRT during peak hours...the next train is just 3 mins away, not 6!

On stomp,I even saw someone speeding to show off his car at Upp Thomson Road.No that I'm cursing him,but he could lose his life!

Only 10 years old, but this cheeky boy exposed his private parts to girl and her friends
This boy, who was apparently about 10 years old, was seen exposing his private parts to a group of youths while standing at the window of his flat.

One of the youths, a female STOMPer, Nelly, had masked the boy's pictures and sent to STOMP.

In an email to STOMP at about 9.25pm yesterday (Aug 21), the STOMPer said:

"This was what had happened, it took place just a few hours ago.

"Some of my friends and I decided to play block catching near Potong Pasir so we went to the block.

"But after going there, one of my friends saw something really sick.

"There was a boy, around the age of 10 or 11 years old, wanking openly in his room with his window open wide!

"He knew we were watching him and he still smiled and continued wanking, even when we took pictures of him.

"He was like going 'Yeh, yeh, yeh' damn loudly.

"This is...unacceptable!"

This latest incident is just one of the many rising cases of Singapore youths becoming so rude and offensive.

Many of them have been caught for instance, getting intimate in public.

A Tragic Tale!

He fled from miles to miles just to avoid being a victim. There's no food, no water and not even a place where he could stay. At the back of his mind, he firmly believed that he could find his true love and a place where he could call "Home".

Day after day, night after night, he perservered. But, unlike his mind, his body started to feel the strain. The heat was just unbearable. He began to hallucinate.

Finally, he laid still, succumbed to his exhaustion. Fond memories from the past kept flashing in his mind. He closed his eyes and smile contentedly.

I managed to snap 2 pictures of him. Click on them to see :)

HISTORY OF KAMPONG GLAM

In Malay, the word "Kampung" means "village or settlement" and "Glam" is the name of a particular tree, which grew in abundance in the area in early Singapore. In the beginning, Kampong Glam was a fishing village situated at the mouth of Rochor River. It became more populated and grew into prominence after the Sultan of Singapore, Hussein Mohammed Shah and the Temenggong signed a treaty with the East India Company in 1819.

Photo source: "Kampong Glam - Spirit of a Community"

In nineteen century, Kampong Glam remains an ethnic district with a strong Malay-Arab influence. It is a place where one will patronise for their Arab-Muslim traditional foodstuff and merchandise. In 1822 "Town Plan", Sir Stamford Raffles allocated Kampong Glam to the Malays, Bugis and Arabs. As trade flourished, Farquhar preferred the business quarter to be centered here at Kampong Glam. Rough justice, robberies, street brawls and stabbings were common.

Photo source: "Kampong Glam - Spirit of a Community"

Tengku Ali built Istana Kampong Glam in 1840 at Sultan Gate. Tengku Ali was only recognised as Sultan of Singapore by the British, in 1855. By 1911, Singapore’s population numbered over 185,000 with nearly three-quarter of those Chinese; men outnumbered women 8:1. Kampong Glam, during that period was swallowed up as a city with vibrant commerce, but lawless attitudes and a money-making fervour where wealth was more admired over scholarship. It had become, as Raffles had predicted, "the emporium and pride of the East".

What we see today in Kampong Glam is a variety of rich heritage passed down from generation to generation. Some of these long enduring traditions are in the form of monuments, trades, cultures and practices. Conservation of places of worship, old school, old dwellings, some of which are still in their original form while others have been refurbished. These rich remains give a hint of the architecture and life style of the early days. Such diverse rich heritage can only come about through a sense of tolerance, sharing and bonding, all encapsulated in the Kampong Glam spirit.

Photo source: "Kampong Glam - Spirit of a Community"

Constantly improving the living standards of its constituents is the main preoccupation of its grassroots leaders. Improving the housing estates that are more than 10 years old is carried out under two schemes. Those more than twenty years old would come under the Main Upgrading Programme. Those between ten and seventeen years old would qualify under the Interim Upgrading Programme, where improvement work is confined to the surrounding area and no work is done inside the individual flat.

Boy, 5, was behind burglary

Police investigating a burglary at a kindergarten in Romania were shocked to find the mastermind was a five-year-old boy

Officers, in Jirlau, Braila county, were called to investigate the break in after the caretaker found a back window broken.

They found several rooms had been ransacked and initially thought the burglars were searching for petty cash.

But, after talking to staff, they discovered all that was missing was part of the nursery's collection of toys.

Detectives questioned neighbours and two boys, aged five and 13, who live nearby, admitted to the crime.

The younger boy told police he "missed his toys and just couldn't wait till school term starts again in September".

He convinced his older friend to come with him to the kindergarten where they broke in, stuffed two bags with toys and left.

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

A Russian couple was walking down the street in St. Petersburg the other night, when the man felt a drop hit his nose.
"I think it's raining," he said to his wife.
"No, that felt more like snow to me," she replied.
"No, I'm sure it was just rain, he said.
" Well, as these things go, they were about to have a major argument about whether it was raining or snowing. Just then they saw a minor communist party official walking toward them.

"Let's not fight about it," the man said, "let's ask Comrade Rudolph whether it's officially raining or snowing."As the official approached, the man said, "Tell us, Comrade Rudolph, is it officially raining or snowing?"
"It's raining, of course," he answered and walked on. But the woman insisted: "I know that felt like snow!"
To which the man quietly replied: "Rudolph the Red knows rain, dear!"

Crab-eating Frog

Did you read the newspaper the "?" red dot. There was this report on a quite interesting animal.
This is the report:
The Crab-eating Frog occurs in a range of habitats including coastal scrub, marshes, disturbed forests and mangroves where it can tolerate brackish water. This species, along with the Blyth's Giant Frog Limnonectes blythii, is favoured for its eating quality and is often farmed for its edible legs.

The patterning on its dorsal surface (see inset) is an aid to identification, as well as the extensive webbing on its hind feet. Some specimens may possess a vertebral stripe.

This frog is found in West Malaysia, Singapore, and possibly southern Thailand.

Sorry I cannot get the picture.
"?"is the word Ido not know.

Happy Birthday Singapore!

I remembered when I was in Primary School, I always looked forward to festive occasions. One of my favourites was National Day simply because there would be a school holiday. Back then, we would always receive little souvenirs like key chains and bookmarks imprinted with the Singapore's flag. Nowadays, the celebration mode is vastly different. Since when did ACES day become part of the National day celebration? And what a way to end the celebration by having 3 periods of normal lessons in class. Do pupils and teachers have the mood to study and teach in the first place? Personally, I don't.

Anyway, we must really rejoice this significant day for Singapore has come a long way to become what it is today. I guess when you get older, the less excited you are when it comes to such celebrations. Regardless, enjoy every moment of the National Day spirit while it lasts.

Trip to MALACCA

Hi ya! Like MR TAN said, it has been a long time since we've blogged. So just to keep things going... I'M REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THE MALACCA TRIP! Although I doubt I'll get chosen.   SO SAD :( But for those who will be chosen, CONGRATS! Either ways, the trip to Malacca is gonna be so fun like Mr Tan said. Imagine being treated like ROYALTIES unless you already are ROYAL which I doubt it will be really fun! So good luck and let the most responsible, independent, team player with display of self dicipline win!

I don't know about this!

I just don't know, why we need to be separated. H1N1 already have cure. So H1N1 is 'considered' minor. So we can sit in groups, but why we still need to be sitting like having an early exam! >:( - Grrr!

Health matters

Hi boys and girls, please email me(brysetan@hotmail.com) when you see this entry except for those that I've called. Let me know whether you've gone overseas(even to JB) these few days.
From now on, if you are not feeling well, pls see a doctor and stay at home to rest:) Of course you have to assess your condition yourself. If it is just minor headache and things like that, then you can still go to school. I'm referring to fever, cold and stuff like that. This is to prevent yourself from being opened to more germs.

No accusation!

On the CBOX, someone as 'Surendra' said I was la. And for 'Surendra', i ain't. You can give CBOX the $9.90 and see who the parent/guardian is. And I doubt you are the real Surendra, 'Surendra'. Well...no way la could prove it, right?

Covering face

Picture:STOMP
This man was covering his face when he noticed someone taking a photo of him sitting on a priority sit on the MRT. Although he was sitting sitting on a priority seat, I think it is all right as long as he gives up his seat to someone who needs it more when he/she is there, instead of pretending to sleep, read, or playing handheld games. What do you think?

video of idiot burglar

http://202.157.174.100/20090612-ss-BurglarsOnCCTV/Player.html
Idiot Woodlands burglars switched off power but CCTV continued recording
The burglars who robbed a Woodlands 'mama shop' on June 11 thought they were being smart by switching off the main power supply. Little did they know that the security cameras were still running and their actions were caught on video.
In an earlier posting, the STOMPer, whose mother owns the shop, said that the burglars were armed with knives and even threatened a newspaper delivery man who caught them in the act.

The two men are in their early 20s and are suspected to be responsible for a recent spat of break-ins in the Woodlands area.

wan ton mee

Yuks! Dead millipede all curled up in my innocent won ton mee
A traumatised STOMPer mistook this millipede for a piece of mushroom in her won ton mee bought at Food Junction in Lot One Shoppers Mall.

According to her, there were not 1, but 2 millipedes found in that plate of noodles.

Rachel says in an email to STOMP:

"At about 8.30 to 9pm on June 24, there was a disgusting find in a plate of innocent-looking won ton mee bought from the Hong Kong Cuisine food stall at Food Junction (level 4) in Lot One Shoppers Mall.

"A curled up, tough and black millipede was found within the stack of vegetables below the noodles.

"It was tough, so it could easily be mistaken for a broken piece of mushroom.

"With closer scrutiny, there were actually 2 pieces of such find.

"1 of them was hysterically flicked onto the tray (not shown on this picture).

"Can anyone imagine the trauma of having tasted this thing, thinking it was a mushroom?

"After confronting the Food Junction management, Danny, he could only apologise but refused to divulge more information on his manager's full name and claimed that he was overseas.

"With the recent rojak incident that had caused fatality cases, there were heightened awareness on the need for more stringent cleanliness over food handling.

"Does Food Junction also regulate their food stalls' cleanliness and constantly remind their stall holders to maintain their food hygiene?

"Or has the recent shift in focus to H1N1 caused complacency in food stall owners and food court management?

"I cannot imagine what happened to the sauce whereby this millipede was cooked in, consumed by many other unsuspecting customers of this stall, attracted by the 'Today Special, Won ton Mee' offer."

camera in vivo

s that a hidden camera in changing room of Forever 21 at VivoCity?
STOMPer Idreamtobreakaway was shocked to find what seemed like a small camera in the ceiling of a changing room in a VivoCity boutique.

She said in an email to STOMP today (June 25):

"My friend and I were browsing the Forever 21 store on the June 22 at 8pm.

"We picked out a few clothes to try and I went into the innermost third cubicle starting from the left.

"After trying the fourth dress, it occurred to me to check the surroundings for any hidden camera.

"I know no such things like hidden camera in hotels or toilets would happen in Singapore, yet I was shocked to find something that looked like a small camera in the ceiling where the light bulb should be.

"I got my friend to come in and see and she agreed that it looked like a mini camera.

"We looked for the manager, but she had gone home and the supervisor gave me her email address.

"I've sent an email to give feedback that very night, till now, there is not a single reply from them.

"How would you feel if such things really happen in Singapore?

"I'm not trying to kick up a fuss, but is there any ladies who would like to stand in that changing room and tell me if it's a camera?"

H1N1-2 news

Here's 2 news about H1N1.If you see a pharmacy/clinic with RED ALERT H1N1 READY sticker, you can check whether you have H1N1 or not. If the situation is not very bad, you might even get treatment at that clinic/pharmacy!

Here’s the 2nd thing. Singapore has people getting H1N1 without getting high fever! They might just get fever, normal fever temperature. We must be ready for anything…like the spreading in Thailand.100+ confirmed cases in a day!(Not everyday.) Are you scared? I’m a bit, I admit…but not that scared that I don’t dare to step out of my house a step!

Reminders

Hi everyone, another 4 more days to a new term. I'm sure you can't wait to go back to school right? I've called most of you regarding the filling out of your travel form. You should receive it latest by Friday by post. Remember to bring the completed form on the first day of school. Check on the working condition of your digital thermometer and keep it inside your bag. You'll be using it twice daily for awhile.
And lastly, keep yourself updated by reading the newspaper. If there's any new developments, I'll also post it up.

KOI

Okay, this isn't exactly news. A new KOI store just opened at ANG MO KIO, and you should try it since it's pretty close to WOODLANDS. Here's another tip: if you drink the BUBBLE TEA from sweet talk, try to buy it from a popular SWEETTALK store because of the pearls inside the drink. If it's not popular, the pearl will still have leftovers and they will keep it for the next day. It's not gonna be fresh and may cause problems so try going to the one in CAUSEWAY POINT.

It's just a game

Okay, today I had a fight with Yin Xuan because of a basketball game that Mr Tan "created".It was all about whether we can pass and that she passed and that I passed to and blah blah blah. Then Odelia started crying and Yin Xuan started crying and Pauline started crying and I wanted to cry but I just didn't know how to force the stubborn tears which were supposed to come out now out and Mr Tan came and jokingly said "It must have been you, it's your fault!. After that I apologised to them both. Get to the point, I learned that one should be reasonable and fair to enjoy a game. What do you think?

Fugitive Islamist militant arrested: Singapore

source: yahoo.com.sg
SINGAPORE (AFP) - - The alleged leader of an Islamic militant group accused of plotting to crash an airliner in Singapore has been arrested in Malaysia after more than a year on the run, according to the government.

Singapore's Ministry of Home Affairs said in a statement Mas Selamat bin Kastari had been captured by Malaysian authorities, but gave no other details.

"Mas Selamat has been arrested by the Malaysian Special Branch (MSB) in a joint operation between the MSB and the Internal Security Department," the statement sent to AFP said.

The Straits Times said Kastari was caught on April 1 in the Malaysian state of Johor, which sits just across a causeway from Singapore, and has been held in custody by Malaysian authorities since.

Kastari is said to be the head of the Singapore cell of Jemaah Islamiyah (JI), an underground group linked to Al-Qaeda and blamed for the 2002 Bali bombing and other bloody attacks in Southeast Asia.

Singapore officials have alleged he was part of a plot to hijack an airliner in Bangkok and crash it into Changi airport -- one of Asia's busiest -- in 2001 following the September 11 attacks in the United States.

Now 48, he escaped from his high-security detention centre in Singapore on February 27 last year after squeezing through a toilet window that had no bars and climbing over a fence.

Kastari's escape triggered a massive manhunt, but a flood of tips from the public, some inspired by a bounty of one million Singapore dollars (647,520 US dollars) put up by two local businessmen, turned out to be false alarms.

He had not been formally charged at the time of his escape, and was being held under the Internal Security Act, which allows for detention without trial.

The Straits Times cited "senior intelligence sources" as saying Kastari was arrested on April 1 in Johor.

It is believed he is being held for interrogation by Malaysian authorities under the country's own internal security law, which also allows for detention without trial.

The newspaper said he was thought to have been in Johor since his escape, and that his re-arrest followed a joint operation by Malaysian and Singaporean security agencies.

"He is an extremely skilled and dangerous terrorist and the fact that he has been recaptured improves the security situation in Singapore and the region," said John Harrison, a security analyst at Singapore's Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

"This is irrespective of what he may or may not have been able to accomplish during his escape," he told AFP.

Harrison, manager of research at NTU's International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research, said whatever morale boost the JI gained from the escape has now been erased.

"Secondly, what it does show is that there is a tremendous regional cooperation against JI and that as long as that continues the JI will not be able to successfully re-establish itself as the organisation that it once was."

Harrison praised Singapore and Malaysian authorities for their cooperation and said they had kept the news under wraps to get more intelligence away from the media glare.

Sidney Jones, an analyst with the International Crisis Group, applauded the arrest, but said it was not an ending.

"In some ways the bigger danger will still come from the people at large," she told AFP from Jakarta.

"I think we've got a number of little splinters. I don't think this arrest will change their strategies."

She said "the important thing is (to) keep up the pressure from the law enforcement agencies and try to find these other people."

Rohan Gunaratna, a security analyst at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies in Singapore, described Kastari's arrest as a "very significant blow to the JI network because JI is trying to revive."

"Mas Selamat is a key icon of the Jemaah Islamiyah organisation, he is one of the most dangerous terrorists in this region, his arrest is a major setback to the JI organisation," he told broadcaster Channel NewsAsia.

Kastari had fled Singapore in December 2001 following an Internal Security Department operation against Jemaah Islamiyah. He was arrested in Indonesia in 2006 and handed back.

Mas Selamat arrested on 1st April

Now,still remember Mas Selamat?Sebastian just told me he has been caught on 1st April. He was found in Johor Bahru. He swam to Malaysia! You can't believe it,right?Me too.Someone must be helping him.He may have used a motorboat.

Still remember the riddle I posted?Nobody thought of it...

An attorney entered the plea for China Arnold, 26, who remained in the Montgomery County Jail for the video arraignment. Montgomery County Common Pleas Judge John Kessler continued her bond at $1 million.

Prosecutors had asked Kessler to hold her without bond, saying she has a criminal record and is a flight risk. Defense attorney Jon Paul Rion wanted bond reduced.

"Miss Arnold is a loving mother who is innocent of these charges," Rion said. "She has cooperated with police. She has never tried to run from police."

She stood with her hands behind her back, slowly shaking her head during the arraignment. She winced when Kessler announced he was keeping bond at $1 million.

Arnold was indicted last week on a charge of aggravated murder, and the prosecutor said he would seek the death penalty.

The baby, Paris Talley, died Aug. 30, 2005.I think that she wasn't sentenced to death. But if you were the judge, would you sentence her to death? Give your reason too.

Lies and Inner Feelings

Have you reached a part of your life about lying even if you know its wrong?Because I have. And I did that because of my inner feelings. And also sometimes people take your inner feelings like it does not exist, have you felt that before? And again I have gone through that too.Anyway I lied to my parents that I had to go to star(tuition at school) early with Qadirah to do a project but actually we went to the playground to play for 1 hour. But while my mom was going to pick up my brother from school she saw me at the playground and from there I knew I was in big trouble. And I realised that sometimes some of my inner feelings could be lies too!

Temper and apologies

Okay, today is where I'm gonna talk about temper and apologies. I admit that I am VERY bad tempered, you can ask all my friends.I know some of you lose your temper easily and offend people. I learnt that apologising is the best thing to do first. If you have made many mistakes and the person won't forgive you... you have to be sincere. I have made so many mistakes and offended so many people and yet they still put up with me, that is really controlling their temper. You could try thinking about what you really want to say before saying it. And don't joke about things that should not be joked about, like when I did that to pauline.Hope this helps. And I want to apologise to Qadirah if I hurt you in any way. I also want to thank Pauline, Symann, Qadirah, Michelle, Joey and Charmaine for putting up with me. Thank you!!! Oh and request by mr tan... Thank you for putting up with me too mr tan!
