A girl said that she was turning 21 in 2 days time and that she was 20 now. But she was only 19 before this year's new year. When is her birthday? ( Day and Month only)
Now the answer for the candles puzzle. Sorry, Surendra... your answer is wrong... The answer is 3. This is because there is the word IN THE END which means if the 7 candles were allowed to continue burning. So in the end, there will only be 3 candles left as the 7 candles have turn into wax and the 3 which was blew out didn't melt into wax.
A man lighted ten candles in his dining room. He realised that the wind from the window blew out the flame from two candles. He closed the windows and went to his room. When he came back to the dining room, he noticed that the flame from another candle was blew out. How many candles did he have IN THE END?
Answer for previous puzzle: 44! Congratz SharkBoy's sister. This is because the father said that he is his sons age(22) plus half his age. That means the other half is 22. So 22 plus 22 = 44!
A son and father were talking in the kitchen and the son asked:" Dad, I'm 22 now, but how old are you?"
"Well, I'm your age plus half of my age," the father said.
How old is the father?

STOMPer SureOrNot found this video on the Internet, apparently showing a female ghost captured on camera in a rented flat in Bedok.
Said the STOMPer:
"I found this video on the Internet.
"Apparently a Filipino man was taking a video of his rented house in Bedok and accidentally saw a 'girl' in one corner of the flat.
"She disappeared almost immediately.
"At first I thought it could be fake, but after studying the video carefully, I'm not so sure.
"The corner in which the girl was seen was enclosed. The only exit, which is towards the camera man, was blocked by some things.
"It would have been impossible for a person to simply disappear from that corner of the house in a split second.
"But you decide and figure it out for yourself."
STOMPer Juston was shocked when he spotted this China woman making her son pee into a rubbish bin at Jurong Point.
In an email to STOMP today (Sept 21), the STOMPer says:
“I saw this at Jurong Point Shopping Centre on Saturday at around 2 pm just outside of POPULAR book store.
“This woman was letting her child urinate in the rubbish bin. People were standing around and looking at her but she didn’t feel a thing.
"For sure that she was a Chinese from China due to her speaking slang.
“I just moved forward to take this nice clear shot.”

In Malay, the word "Kampung" means "village or settlement" and "Glam" is the name of a particular tree, which grew in abundance in the area in early Singapore. In the beginning, Kampong Glam was a fishing village situated at the mouth of Rochor River. It became more populated and grew into prominence after the Sultan of Singapore, Hussein Mohammed Shah and the Temenggong signed a treaty with the East India Company in 1819.

In nineteen century, Kampong Glam remains an ethnic district with a strong Malay-Arab influence. It is a place where one will patronise for their Arab-Muslim traditional foodstuff and merchandise. In 1822 "Town Plan", Sir Stamford Raffles allocated Kampong Glam to the Malays, Bugis and Arabs. As trade flourished, Farquhar preferred the business quarter to be centered here at Kampong Glam. Rough justice, robberies, street brawls and stabbings were common.

Tengku Ali built Istana Kampong Glam in 1840 at Sultan Gate. Tengku Ali was only recognised as Sultan of Singapore by the British, in 1855. By 1911, Singapore’s population numbered over 185,000 with nearly three-quarter of those Chinese; men outnumbered women 8:1. Kampong Glam, during that period was swallowed up as a city with vibrant commerce, but lawless attitudes and a money-making fervour where wealth was more admired over scholarship. It had become, as Raffles had predicted, "the emporium and pride of the East".
What we see today in Kampong Glam is a variety of rich heritage passed down from generation to generation. Some of these long enduring traditions are in the form of monuments, trades, cultures and practices. Conservation of places of worship, old school, old dwellings, some of which are still in their original form while others have been refurbished. These rich remains give a hint of the architecture and life style of the early days. Such diverse rich heritage can only come about through a sense of tolerance, sharing and bonding, all encapsulated in the Kampong Glam spirit.

Constantly improving the living standards of its constituents is the main preoccupation of its grassroots leaders. Improving the housing estates that are more than 10 years old is carried out under two schemes. Those more than twenty years old would come under the Main Upgrading Programme. Those between ten and seventeen years old would qualify under the Interim Upgrading Programme, where improvement work is confined to the surrounding area and no work is done inside the individual flat.

DAYTON, Ohio - A woman suspected of killing her month-old daughter by putting her in a microwave oven pleaded not guilty Tuesday.
An attorney entered the plea for China Arnold, 26, who remained in the Montgomery County Jail for the video arraignment. Montgomery County Common Pleas Judge John Kessler continued her bond at $1 million.
Prosecutors had asked Kessler to hold her without bond, saying she has a criminal record and is a flight risk. Defense attorney Jon Paul Rion wanted bond reduced.
"Miss Arnold is a loving mother who is innocent of these charges," Rion said. "She has cooperated with police. She has never tried to run from police."
She stood with her hands behind her back, slowly shaking her head during the arraignment. She winced when Kessler announced he was keeping bond at $1 million.
Arnold was indicted last week on a charge of aggravated murder, and the prosecutor said he would seek the death penalty.
The baby, Paris Talley, died Aug. 30, 2005.I think that she wasn't sentenced to death. But if you were the judge, would you sentence her to death? Give your reason too.
